Worship Team

John 4:23 tells us that God is seeking “true worshipers” who will worship in spirit and in truth. Those who serve on the Worship Team have the tremendous privilege of using music as a tool to invite the church family to engage in worshiping our God as a church.
Expectations:

  • Every Sunday morning our Worship Team serves our church family in musical worship.

  • They also serve for other times of worship such as worship nights, 405 students worship, kids worship, and other special events.

  • We are not a performance group, but a group of worshipers and servants who use our musical gifts to serve the church in corporate worship.

Requirements for all Worship Team:
  • Member and active attender of FBCN
  • Participant in an FBCN small group
  • Available to serve at least 3 times a month. Depending on the position and availability, you may be asked to serve more or less than that.
  • Willingness to serve in multiple ministry areas (Sunday morning, 405, kids, etc.)
  • Able to spend time with the worship set outside of rehearsal so you can come to rehearsal prepared.
  • Willing to meet with Micah to walk through the audition process
  • Access to a computer or smart phone to receive details about worship services (Planning Center, Loop Community, Prime, etc.)

Requirements for Instrumentalists:
  • Ability to invest in adequate musical gear (instrument, guitar strings, pedals, music software etc.)
  • Ability to lead out on songs and provide leadership to our church family

Requirements for Vocalists:
  • Ability to hear and sing harmony parts
  • Able to read chord charts
  • Experience playing with a band
