Safety/Security Team

Serving on the Church Safety & Security Team is a vital role that ensures a safe and welcoming environment for all who attend worship services and church events. Team members are alert, dependable, and trained to respond with wisdom and grace in any situation—from basic first aid needs to emergency response.
Expectations:
  • Monitoring entrances, exits, and public areas during services and events
  • Responding to medical, weather-related, or safety incidents
  • Maintaining clear communication with church staff and other safety team members
  • Managing crowd flow and assisting during evacuations or lockdowns if needed
  • Being a calm and reassuring presence to help foster a peaceful worship environment
  • Be observant, level-headed, and passionate about protecting others
  • Training will be provided
  • Serve with a heart of hospitality, ensuring that everyone feels both safe and seen

Requirements:
  • Member and active attender of FBCN
  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, medical response, or military service is helpful but not required

Commitment:
  • Monthly Sunday AM / Wednesday PM Rotation
  • occasional special events as needed
