DGroup Leader

As a Discipleship Group Leader, you play a vital role in the spiritual growth and maturity of others. Your primary responsibility is to guide a small group of individuals (3-5 gender specific) in following Jesus more closely by cultivating a Christ-centered environment rooted in Scripture, prayer, accountability, and scripture memory.

You will facilitate weekly gatherings, encourage personal spiritual disciplines, and walk alongside group members through the highs and lows of life—pointing them to Christ in every season. This role requires humility, consistency, and a growing relationship with Jesus. You don’t need to have all the answers—just a willing heart to lead by example and help others grow in obedience to God’s Word. Groups meet for 12-18 months with the goal of multiplication.
Expectations:

  • Model a life of devotion to Christ

  • Prepare and lead group discussions through daily Bible reading plan

  • Encourage and challenge group members in their spiritual walk

  • Pray regularly for group members

  • Model a culture of honesty, grace, and accountability

  • Identify and equip future leaders

  • Discipleship begins with presence. If you are committed to walking with Jesus and walking with others, you are ready to lead.

Commitment:
  • 1.5 hours per week (meeting)
  • 2-3 hours per week (preparation)
Nathan Presley, our Executive Pastor, will contact you to talk further about serving. Thank you so much for your interest!
